Photos stay on your device

The picture is decoded in your browser, drawn on a canvas, and saved with the browser’s own download. The page does not send the file, the file name, the pixel dimensions, or the image data to circlecropimage.app. It also does not attach any of that to an analytics event. Analytics is not running, which is covered below.

You can confirm this in the browser’s network panel while you crop. The requests that load the page are scripts, styles, and fonts, not your picture. Closing the tab releases the image from memory. There is no account that could store a copy, and there is no copy on a server to delete later. That photo rule is the center of this privacy policy.

What the browser remembers

Two entries in this site’s local storage remember a setting. Neither one is sent to us, and cropping works if storage is blocked. The editor then simply will not recall the last choice on the next visit. Clearing site data for circlecropimage.app removes both.

The entry named cc_prefs stores the last format (PNG, WebP, or JPG), the export size, and the background choice: clear, a solid color, a gradient, or a blur. It does not store the image, the file name, or a history of photos.

The entry named cc_theme stores whether you chose a light or dark appearance for the site. That is the chrome of the page, not the photograph. Those two entries are the storage this privacy policy covers.

Cookies

This site does not set a cookie in order to crop a photo. There is no login cookie. There is no advertising cookie while ads are off.

If analytics or advertising is switched on later, those services can set their own cookies. That is not the case today. This privacy policy would name that change before those requests run.

Analytics

Google Analytics is not loaded. The measurement ID in the site configuration is empty, so the analytics script never starts and no analytics cookie is set.

The page is built so that, if an ID is added later, a download would be counted only as an anonymous event named tool_download. That event would not include the image, the file name, or the dimensions. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, analytics storage and ad storage stay denied until a person makes a choice. A consent banner is not on the site yet. Advertising will not be turned on before that choice exists. This privacy policy records that Google Analytics is not loaded today.

Advertising

No advertisement is requested, and no empty box is reserved for one. The site publishes ads.txt with the publisher ID ca-pub-1271829671637482, so the domain can be matched to that AdSense account if advertising is enabled later. Personalized ads are not active.

If they are turned on, you can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and you can use the industry opt-out at aboutads.info. Google describes how advertising cookies work in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Those controls belong to Google. This site does not sell personal information, and it has no customer list to sell. This privacy policy is the page that would change before an ad request starts.

Children

circlecropimage.app is a general photo tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and the editor does not ask for a name, an email address, or an account. A photo opened on the page is not transmitted to us, so the tool does not receive a child’s picture. This privacy policy does not create an account for a child or an adult.

If you email hello@circlecropimage.app and the message includes a child’s personal information, say so in the message. We will delete it.

Access, correction, and deletion

There is no image on our servers to access, correct, or erase, because the photo never arrives. Clearing site data for this host removes cc_prefs and cc_theme from your browser. We cannot clear them for you.

Email sent to hello@circlecropimage.app is ordinary mail. Do not include a photo or an identity document. Privacy questions can use that same address. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share a photo with an advertiser.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy was last updated on 6 October 2026. If the text changes, the date in this section changes with it.
