Circle Crop Image

Circle Crop Image makes a round photo for an avatar, a logo, a sticker, or a slide. Keep the outside clear, add a border, or fit the whole picture inside the circle.

Three steps

  1. Add a photo

Click, drop, or paste. The picture stays in this browser.

  2. Move the photo

Drag, pinch, or use the slider until the subject fills the circle.

  3. Download

Save PNG, WebP, or JPG. PNG keeps the outside transparent.

Key features

  • Transparent background

PNG keeps the outside of a circle crop image clear. WebP can do the same. JPG fills those pixels with white.

  • Bulk crop

Crop up to 20 photos with one framing, then download a ZIP. You can still save the photo you are looking at.

  • Avatar sizes

Export 256, 512, or 1024 pixels, and preview the same crop at 32, 48, and 96.

Why choose us

  • The photo stays on your device

No account, and the file is not uploaded. Close the tab and the photo is gone.

  • It is still a circle after you paste it

A wide photo turns oval in PowerPoint, Slides, or Word. Save the square here first, then place that file.

  • The other calculators

A frame, a slide size, or a print size is a different job. The aspect ratio calculator, the resolution calculator, and the DPI to pixel calculator do that. This site stays on the circle.

Tools

These tools all make a circle crop image. The difference is the file you leave with: a clear PNG, the whole photo fitted inside the circle, a square for another app, or a ZIP of up to 20. None of them asks for an account.

Profile pictures

Most chat apps show a circle crop image by hiding the corners of a square upload. Open the network you use and follow the size its own help page publishes. When that page is silent, 512 is only a suggestion.

Guides

A wide photo becomes an oval in PowerPoint, Slides, or Word. A circle crop image from this page is already square, so their mask stays round. Each guide names a menu only when the vendor’s help page does, and stays general when the interface changes.

Frequently asked questions

Can the outside of the circle be transparent?

Yes. PNG is the default and leaves the pixels outside the circle clear. WebP can do the same. JPG has no transparency, so on this page those pixels become white. The converter can fill the gaps with a solid color or a blur instead.

What if my photo is already square?

A square matches the circle’s box. You still choose what sits inside the round mask, because the corners of the square are hidden. Zoom in if you want a tighter portrait.

Can I keep the whole photo inside the circle?

Open the converter. It starts in Fit and scales the photo down until every corner sits on the circle. The gaps can stay clear on a PNG, or take a solid color or a blur. Crop, on this page, fills the circle and drops the corners.

Can I add a border?

Yes, on the border page. Set a percent of the diameter, pick a color, and add padding if the subject needs a gap inside the ring. PNG stays clear outside the outer circle.

Is my picture uploaded?

No. Circle Crop Image decodes the photo in this browser. It is not stored on a server and is not attached to an analytics event. Closing the tab drops it.

What size should I export?

This page saves the crop at its own size. The profile page starts at 512 pixels and also offers 256 and 1024, with a preview at 32, 48, and 96 pixels. Where a help page names a size, use that figure. The size chart links every source and labels 512 when the page is silent.

How much of the square does the circle keep?

A circle drawn inside a square covers 78.54% of that square. The corners that fall away are 21.46%. On a 512 pixel circle, the safe square inside the mask is 362 pixels on a side. Keep a face inside that inner square if the avatar will be shown very small.

Why does a circle become an oval in another app?

A circle mask follows the picture’s box. A wide photo makes that box wider than it is tall, so the shape is an oval. Export a square first, then apply the mask. The square page does that and leaves the circle clip off. Afterward, resize from a corner, not from a side handle.

Can I crop more than one photo?

Yes, on the bulk page, up to 20. Set one photo, apply that zoom, position, rotation, and flip to the rest, then download a ZIP built on this device.
